Recently, I switched from Microsoft security essentials to viper advanced security. Ever since I made the switch, I've been getting the following three messages in my action center off and on, windows firewall is turned off, no antivirus is installed, no antispyware, is installed. Viper advanced security has all three of these things, and according to viper, they are turned on and up to date. What could be causing this problem. and what can I do to fix it?
You can turn off the messages.
If you do this, you will have to check your current program to see if it is indeed working.
On Microsoft.com, do a search for turning off messages. It has been a long time, so I don't remember steps and would need to look, but it is easy.
Also know this, sometimes these programs get disabled for whatevber reasons then they come back. Rebooting usually fixed it, or going to the programs control panel and making sure.
I think I'd switch backto Microsoft. This other program isn't doing well, but that is just an opinion, not more.
Programs that want to get in if your protection programs not so good simply turn them off as well. Sort of like a fight.
I'd go back, but again, that is an opinion.
I have triedto reboot my system, with the messages still in the action center. Viper is up and running, according to the notification in my system tray, telling me that its firewall is turned on, along with the active protection. The reason why I made the switch from Microsoft security essentials to viper was Microsoft security essentials was slowing my laptop's performance, and leading to slower booting times.
Okay, I can see that. For some reason with Windows 7, it does that.
It isn't really slow, its just your screen reader doesn't come up as quickly.
Here's your page that will tell you how to turn the messages off however.
